“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33, NIV
A Quiet Day is a mini-retreat, a chance to slow down and allow ourselves to arrive in the season. Join Father Beddingfield for a morning of reflection as we explore the heart of Christian faith through the themes of connection, compassion, and courage. We will use silence, simple chant, reflection on saints and scriptures, and practice some basic heart openers and breathing exercises borrowed from yoga. We will try to maintain an atmosphere of quiet and calm, so conversation and chatting will be discouraged. Feel free to bring a journal or a devotional book you might like to spend some time reading, as there will be quiet time between the meditations. There is no cost for the event, but please register HERE so that we can adequately prepare.
