Hart Fessenden
April 6, 1927 — December 31, 2022

Hart was born in 1927, and graduated from the Fessenden School, Milton Academy, Yale College, and Harvard Law School. He served in the Marines during WWII and was married to Nancy for 68 years.

Hart was a lawyer at Kelley Drye and later, a senior executive at Bankers Trust. In the early 70s, he was quick to recognize the then-dormant potential of the Asian markets and helped to develop them. Anyone who has spent time with Hart and Nancy knows their love of Asian art and culture.  Hart served as general counsel of the Export-Import Bank in the George H. W. Bush Administration, was active with the Council on Foreign Relations, and was an avid supporter of numerous cultural and artistic organizations. Ever the gentleman, Hart was dismayed by the disintegration of political discourse over the last few years.

An avid sailor since his youth, he loved the water and summers on Cape Cod. He is survived by his wife, three sons, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Hart loved Holy Trinity and attended educational, musical, and worship events while his health allowed. Until quite recently, he continued to study classical Greek with a tutor, and often quizzed his priest about connections between classical and biblical Greek.  Let us pray for the repose of the soul of Hart, for Nancy and their family, and for all who mourn.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
