Online Book Discussion: “Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation”

  • The Church of the Holy Trinity 316 East 88th Street New York, NY, 10128 United States (map)

Join us this Lent for an online discussion of Richard Rohr’s book, Divine Dance: The Trinity and Your Transformation. For our fifth and final Thursday session, March 23, we will read the book's final section, "The Holy Spirit" (pp. 183-94). It is also recommended that we review Appendix of "7 Practices," pp. 199-217, for ideas on individual and small-group exercises one might undertake in coming weeks.

Questions for reflection and discussion:

1. Richard Rohr repeatedly uses the words "flow" and "relation" in his descriptions of Trinitarian spirituality. How might these concepts be applied practically at Holy Trinity, to create a more flowing, relational life for everyone in our congregation?

2. If you have a poem, work of art, or piece of music (3 minutes or less) that you believe exemplifies Richard Rohr's vision of Trinitarian spirituality, please email it to Steve Knight and he will share it with everyone during our session. (He will also ask you to explain why you chose it!)

Copies of the book may be purchased online and will be available in the back of the church (We appreciate a $10 contribution towards the cost of the book.)
