First published in 1898, “The Philanderer” explores issues as relevant today as they were when Shaw wrote it: feminism, marriage, divorce, sexual dalliances – even the ethical and moral questions of using animals for medical research are examined. With these and other issues in the background, the play manages to be funny and thoroughly entertaining. Directed by Elowyn Castle. Stage Manager: Sharrod Fredericks. With George Millenbach, Sonja Gabrielsen, Sam Fortenbaugh, Andy Herr, Melissa Perry, Amanda Catton-Johnson, Dudley Stone, and Eric Kuzmuk. (Actors in italics are members of Actor’s Equity Association.)
