The Season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025. On this day, ashes (made from the saved palms from last year’s Palm Sunday) are imposed on the forehead as a reminder our need for God and God’s love for us. Lent consists of the 40-day period, excluding Sundays (because every Sunday is a mini-celebration of the Resurrection of Christ). The season invites us to reflect, pray, and practice spiritual disciples as a way of reorienting our lives and drawing closer to God.
