Nativities: Mothers and Babies in the Hebrew Bible

  • The Church of the Holy Trinity 316 East 88th Street New York, NY, 10128 United States (map)

On December 3 and 10, join Helen Goodkin and Father John as we look at mothers and babies in Genesis, Exodus, and 1 Samuel, to see how they helped to further the reign of God.

As Advent begins, our thoughts start to focus on an unmarried young girl in Israel whose willingness to accept Gabriel’s request to bare a child….not any child, but the son of God…brought dramatic change to the world. But, Mary is not the first woman to deliver a child who will somehow further God’s plans for humanity.
